Welcome to Inspiration Family Birthing Center...

Today, we had our 1st Prenatal Visit with Inspiration Family Birth Center and what a great experience. 

Talanda's parents joined for the visit and were all smiles as well listened to the fetal heartbeat. The Midwife, Crystal, was amazing - very personable and an excellent educator. We are blessed to have found and look forward to delivering with the Midwives and staff of Inspiration Family Birth Center.

New Careers...

Well it's back to world of the working after our extended vacation. We are so excited to resume our careers in the Kissimmee/Orlando Area. Talanda will be working at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital in Orlando, FL and I am working at Florida Hospital Celebration Health in Celebration, FL. We are so blessed and look forward to impressing a continued positive impact on our patients, families, and the healthcare model through the delivery of care.

2nd Prenatal Visit

Today, at 15 wks 3 days gestation, we had our second prenatal visit at Labor of Love. During our visit with Midwife Stacey we learned that the pregnancy is progressing well and with no complaints from the Mommy-to-Be! 

The excitement is building as we make plans for expanding family and ponder potential names. We are thankful to God and looking forward to catching a glimpse of our little one at our 20 week ultrasound next month.

Especially ...

Today we released the news of our pregnancy to our family and friends. It was wonderful to finally share the special news with those we love. 

Speculate no more...The rumors are absolutely true...

Babymoon Cruise

Ahhh...The relaxing breezes, beautiful aqua-blue water, and warm sunshine of the Caribbean.

What better transition than a Caribbean Cruise to mark the milestone 

of our beginning the second trimester?

We boarded a plane bound for Puerto Rico and then after a relaxing overnight on the island we set sail aboard a cruise headed for the beautiful Southern Caribbean.

We laughed, smiled, and relaxed our way into "Babymoon" bliss.

Surprise we're having a Baby!

Who knew telling your Parents that you're pregnant with your first child 

would be rife with such anxiety. The Plan - share the news over an early Mother's Day Dinner. 

Well, we took a deep breath, a bite to eat, and exchanged Mother's Day cards with the surprise news included inside..

 After the initial shock of disbelief our news was received with smiles and warm embrace. We are  blessed to have wonderful parents like ours.

We love you guys, and to our Moms a special Happy Mothers Day!

Sweet Music...

Ladies and Gentlemen we have a heartbeat, and what a boisterous heartbeat it is...

Wow, what a beautiful and amazing experience...

Today was our first prenatal visit at Labor of Love. 

We filled out paper work, signed on the dotted line, provided blood for labs, and reviewed our questions/plans with the Midwife. 

Yet, all of this paled in comparison to the beautiful heartbeat of our maturing embryo => fetus transitioning in the final week of the first trimester.

The Birthing Center...

So, after much thought and prayer we've decided to employ the services of a birthing center for a more intimate and natural birthing experience. 

The birthing center we have chosen is Labor of Love Birth Center. 

The first visit was great - it included a tour of the facility, review of procedures, and finished with an introduction to the staff. Afterwards, we walked away feeling well informed and like special parents-to-be. 

We look forward to learning from and delivering with the center's knowledgeable, personable, and patient Midwives.

First Glimpse: A Pregnancy Confirmed...

At a gestational age of 6 weeks 3 days our little embryo is growing. 

A heart beat is visible on ultrasound and smiles are visible around the room. 

We officially have a California Baby!

Shocked, surprised, overjoyed, and overwhelmed a whirlwind of emotions as 

experienced, first-hand, on this roller coaster to "Parenthood". Luckily, we have each other and most importantly we have God. 

So, we march on as we prepare to welcome our new addition into the world.
